Montenegro is a country in Europe. Its capital city is Podgorica, the official currency is the Euro, and the main language is Montenegrin.

Montenegro shares land borders with Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Albania โ 4 neighbours in all. Its largest urban centres are Podgorica, Nikลกiฤ and Herceg Novi. The highest point in the country is Zla Kolata, at 2,534 metres.
For scale, it covers almost exactly the same area as Bahamas, while its population is closest to that of Suriname.
