Armenia shares land borders with Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkey โ 4 neighbours in all. Its largest urban centres are Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor. The highest point in the country is Mount Aragats, at 4,090 metres.
For scale, it covers almost exactly the same area as Lesotho, while its population is closest to that of Gambia.
