Thailand shares land borders with Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia โ 4 neighbours in all. Its largest urban centres are Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Chiang Mai. The highest point in the country is Doi Inthanon, at 2,565 metres.
For scale, it covers almost exactly the same area as Spain, while its population is closest to that of United Kingdom.
