Liberia shares land borders with Sierra Leone, Guinea and Ivory Coast — 3 neighbours in all. Its largest urban centres are Monrovia, Gbarnga and Buchanan. The highest point in the country is Mount Wuteve, at 1,440 metres.
For scale, it covers almost exactly the same area as Bulgaria, while its population is closest to that of Lebanon.
