Zimbabwe is a country in Africa. Its capital city is Harare, the official currency is the Zimbabwean Dollar, and the main language is English.
With a population of roughly 16.7 million people spread over 390,757 km², Zimbabwe is the 73rd most populous country in the world and the 60th largest by area. That works out at about 43 people per square kilometre.
Zimbabwe shares land borders with South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique — 4 neighbours in all. Its largest urban centres are Harare, Bulawayo and Chitungwiza. The highest point in the country is Mount Nyangani, at 2,592 metres.
For scale, it covers almost exactly the same area as Norway, while its population is closest to that of Cambodia.
