About Top Spoken Languages: South America
Portuguese and Spanish are almost tied at the top, both around 215 million — Portuguese carried entirely by Brazil, Spanish spread across the other twelve countries.
Everything after that is a steep drop: Quechua, the largest Indigenous language, has around 8 million speakers, less than 4% of Portuguese's total.
Guarani is the rare Indigenous language with genuine official status alongside Spanish, in Paraguay, where most of the population speaks it. German, Italian and Dutch survive here as immigrant-community languages in Argentina, Brazil and Suriname.
Scoring
Your score is how many of the 10 languages you name correctly before the 3 minutes run out. Ranked by native speakers. Duplicates are ignored rather than counted twice, and stopping early locks in whatever you have found so far.
