Paraguay shares land borders with Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina — 3 neighbours in all. Its largest urban centres are Asunción, Ciudad del Este and San Lorenzo. The highest point in the country is Cerro Peró, at 842 metres.
For scale, it covers almost exactly the same area as Zimbabwe, while its population is closest to that of Libya.
