About Country Shape Quiz
Ask someone to picture Italy and they will see the boot, not the flag or the capital. Outlines are how most people actually store a map, and this is the only game here that tests that directly.
Some silhouettes are unmistakable: Italy, Chile, Norway, India, Japan. Others are far harder than you would expect, because a country's shape is the part of it we rehearse least. Landlocked states in central Africa and central Asia give almost nothing away.
Outlines are drawn at world-map scale and then enlarged, so tiny states are excluded — 163 of the 195 countries have an outline distinct enough to be worth asking about.
Difficulty and scoring
Easy, Medium and Hard run thirty questions. Easy covers the countries most people can already name; Hard reaches the ones that need real study. A correct answer is worth 100 points, with a bonus for answering inside five seconds and further bonuses at three, five and ten in a row. A wrong answer scores nothing and resets the streak, but never ends the round.
Expert is different. It has no fixed length and no second chances: questions keep coming from the hardest pool until you get one wrong, and that ends the run immediately. Your result is how many you survived. The full scoring breakdown is on the about page.
